Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Brian J. Trull was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in a preacher’s home. He was saved at the age of four and graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1994. He and his wife, Rachel, were married in 1998, and they have four grown children who serve the Lord along side them.
Pastor Trull has served in various aspects of the ministry for nearly 30 years, including Youth, Music, Technology, Administration and Pastoral. He served under the leadership of Dr. Charles Trull (his father), Greg Hawn, and Sam Davison. He worked in the business field of graphic design and advertising while a volunteer staff until he was called to take a pastorate in 2006. He also worked on staff as an administrator at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City.
In 2016, God called Pastor Trull to start the Crosspoint Baptist Church in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Brief History of Crosspoint
Pastor Brian Trull and his family answered the call of God to step out by faith and plant a church in the City of Yukon, Oklahoma. They were sent out by Gospel Light Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas, where Jon Horton is pastor.
The Trull family traveled for one year to different states to raise offerings and monthly support to begin this ministry. During that year they leased the metal building on Ranchwood Blvd and began renovations.
People from different churches contributed finances, donated materials, and lent their services to the project. Several pastors and a number of church members and staff workers from all over Oklahoma donated their time and skill to the renovation. Pastor Horton and men from their sending church framed out the walls and built the platform.
After several weeks of prayer meetings, Crosspoint Baptist held its first service in the showroom of the building next door in December of 2016. They continued to meet there while the building was being renovated.
Missionary builder, John Adams, and his family worked for several weeks completing plumbing, carpentry, sheetrock and flooring. Then, men from Iglesia Bautista El Calvario in Oklahoma City spent Saturdays and weeknights for a couple months, installing sheetrock and texturing walls. A few different people were hired out for special projects, but 85% or more of the labor was volunteer or donated.
After a year of remodeling, the doors were officially opened in June of 2017. Through the effort of door knocking, personal invitation, direct mailing and other advertising, people were made aware of this new ministry and began to attend services. As members continue to reach out into the community, God continues to bring new people into the Crosspoint family.
